I love them so much

Ok fr tho thinkpads are amazing! Especially if you are on a super tight budget and need a cheap computer that'll do what you need it to do. My first one, was this baby pictured. This is a Thinkpad x201 from 2010. I got it for about 50 bucks and it shipped with a probably pirated copy of windows 7. Don't get me wrong I love win7 as much as anyone can love an operating system (that being, to an unhealthy amount bordering on obsession). However, the x201 I got was rocking an intel i5 CPU...1st gen...mobile. With a maximum ram capacity of...8 gigs of DDR3L. It's not exactly cut out to be running a slightly heavier os. So, I did the only thing I could think, I threw the latest release of Debian on there. So, not only was it my first thinkpad but it was also my first "real" exposure to linux. It's been a lot of fun, I've gotten pretty good with the terminal and I mostly use "my baby" (the nickname so affectionatley given to the x201 by my co-workers.) for html stuff and the occasional spreadsheet making. I love it, it's probably my favorite laptop i've ever owned despite how undeniably weak it is. Recently though I had a new addition to my little Thinkpad collection, I upgraded to the x201's cooler and stronger younger sister, the p50 released in ~2016. This thing is a beast, capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra low settings at a whopping 10 fps. Renders video, and plays Monster Hunter like a dream though, and that's all I can ask for a machine to do fr. So i'm pretty satisfied for only paying 200 for a decent computer. But yeah, I highly recommend them over other laptops.
